Snitches get Stitches

So I was supposed to play a badminton tournament the weekend before I take off on my summer travels. It was in the city district that Azhi lives and works and was supposed to be just for people living and working in that part of the city. So we were holding our breath when he signed up and were relieved when hey let me.

Then the name list came out last week, and the next day I was promptly booted from the tournament.

“But they let me register!” I complained to Azhi when he told me I can’t play.

“I guess he didn’t know. But when the names came out, somebody informed on you.”

This year I have been barred from several competitions because I’m a foreigner and now I find one that allows foreigners, but they refuse me despite my partner living and working in the required district?! (And for the record I wasn’t taking a spot from some local. In fact they had so few mixed doubles teams sign up they lumped all the age groups into one category, so I wasn’t stealing a place.)

But what I really want to know is who ratted me out?! Am I now “famous” enough that people in other districts know my name and know who I am (and where I live)? I guess it’s flattering in a way, but I’m still pissed.

They better hope that I never find out who “informed” on me. Cause snitches get stitches…..

Another way of looking at it is that you are now a “gaoshou” and they would like so see you not compete but hook or crook 😉

That’s what I actually said to Azhi! I said “Not like we’re gonna win, so why would they care?!” Although I wish it was because they were scared of me, but I doubt it. :p
