Allow me to get all “girlie” here but can I say how disappointed I am in badminton clothes? I like the general cut of the shirt (especially the square neck style) but I hate the colors and designs of them. The colors are all too bright, too flashy, the designs too overpowering and blocky. I’ll show you what I mean:
It kinda hurts my eyes. A nice, simple style is just hard to find. And the pro’s, with their national pride at stake don’t seem to do any better…

This simple design by Team Japan is ruined by a blocky and awkward cut. And an ugly yellow line in the front.

Even a hottie like Lin Dan can’t pull off this Starburst candy Olympic Team China shirt. And if HE can’t do it what hope do us mere mortals have?!
![Yep. The other China team members have no hope pulling this ugly shirt off. If they had black pants that might help a tad. But alas...](https://www.badmintonbecky.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/tumblr_m9h5vq03Ti1rosdh6o1_1280.jpg)

The only official team shirt I liked is the one worn by the China team at the recent China Open last week (and the Hong Kong Open the week after). It has a lot of the elements I hate (blocky design, bright colors) but I like the way it is put together (underarm neon is kinda cool when paired with a dark shirt). I also like the plain shoulders, and the neon kinda separating the shirt from the sleeves.

Also, I think Chen Long is the hottest badminton player (yes, hotter than Lin Dan) so that might be influencing my opinion. But it still stands. 😉 I didn’t like the sleeveless version as much as this one with the sleeves.
I have a few badminton shirts, most bought in the recent Singles Day shopping event, but I generally just wear general “sports shirts.” I can get simple solid colors, and they work just as fine. But I would really appreciate someone making some good looking badminton clothes.
